Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2017-2018 academic year.  If you need to purchase a meal plan, or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact Rebecca McQueen in Student Life. Commuter Meal plans & additional flex may be purchased at the Cashier's office.

Plan Options

Resident Meal Plans

Students with mandatory meal plans may choose from the following options:

  • 14 Meal Membership
    14 meals per week + $200.00 Flex

    This meal plan is perfect for the student who likes the convenience of eating on campus for most meals and does not want to bother with groceries. Each week 14 meals are applied to the account and any meals not used are forfeited at the end of the week.
  • 12 Meal Membership
    12 meals per week + $350.00 Flex

    This meal plan is perfect for the student who eats on campus most days but goes off campus on the weekends. The additional flex funds offer more flexibility for grabbing a quick snack or drink between meals. Each week 12 meals are applied to the account and any meals not used are forfeited at the end of the week.
  • 7 Meal Membership 
    7 meals per week + $450.00 Flex

    This meal plan is best for the busy student who may not be able to eat at normal meal times and enjoys catching a bite throughout the day. Each week 7 meals are applied to the account and any meals not used are forfeited at the end of the week.

Commuter Meal Plans

Students with voluntary meal plans may choose from the following options:

  • Block 45 Plan 
    45 meals per semester + $250.00 Flex

    The Block 45 Plan is designed for students who live off campus but like the convenience of being able to dine on campus with friends and not carry cash. Flex can be used in any campus location as well as Papa John's on Frederica Street. 
  • Flex 350 Plan

    This plan is specifically for commuter students who like the convenience of dining on campus without cash or credit cards. Price: $350.00 per semester

Upon selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan, your student I.D. becomes your Meal Card which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected.  The meal plan you select is placed on your card at registration. To dine, simply present the student I.D. at the check stand.

Another option that is always available is to pay cash or credit/debit at the register instead of using a meal plan or flex dollars.

Having Trouble Selecting a Meal Plan?

Try considering your daily routine… Do you eat three meals a day? Will your class schedule, studying, extracurricular activities and social events interfere with dining? Will you miss dinner due to employment or evening classes? Anticipating the answers to these and similar questions will help you to select a meal plan that best fits your lifestyle.

Some Points to Remember
Flex dollars are like cash on your card that may be used at Hocker Family Dining Center, Sub Connection, Jazzman's & Papa John’s located on Frederica.  Flex Dollars roll over from winter to spring semesters, but will expire at the end of the school year. Meals on the resident Meal plans start over each week meals on the commuter plans start over at the beginning of each semester. Flex Dollars and meals not used are forfeited and non-refundable.

General Guidelines
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes from your table when you have finished dining.
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.

Seconds Policy
You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program.  Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites.  All you have to do is ask!

Do you have particular dietary needs? 
Do you need a sick tray or have special dietary needs? Do you need a "Meal To Go"? No problem! Just let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your situation. For more information please contact a member of our Dining Services Management Team.

Lost or Stolen Meal Cards
Lose your Meal Card? In case of a missing Meal Card, please notify the Student Life Office (x 3120).
